Hello.i'm looking for info on the APPLEBY possibly APPERLY family who lived at 'Glebelands' near St.Lawrence Church~Bidborough. This was the address my mother stayed at as an evacuee in 1939.I believe the house no longer exists~although there is a road named Glebelands.Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Born in Kentucky~ with immediate ancestors in Kentucky and Virginia~ documentation suggestss Robert Ashurst was my direct connection to the community of Ashurst. That was many generations back~ when Robert Ashurst departed England.****My home is near the historical location of Cumberland Gap~ Tennessee. Cumberland Gap is associated with the adventures of Daniel Boone.

We are looking for friends Dan and Hester Goodwin who used to have a dairy farm just outside Edenbridge. We would love to make contact with them again

This is for oldie's only. Chiddingstone Causeway.**Does anyone remember the large 1914/18 shell that lay at the base one of the **Oak trees next to the road~ on the cricket field.**As kid's we used to sit on it to watch the cricket matches.**As I remember~ it was still there in 1941~ as was the small workshop of **Wisden's sports. I also remember the emergency**plane landing strip of seven fields. Is the village hall gate still broken.****Geo Harris geo@arach.net.au
