I appears that Hilda Chivers did not die in childbirth as was told to the **family[1920] but emigrated to Canada in 1922~aged 18yrs~with her husband Samuel **Budge~ my Uncle.[Canadian Archives].They left their 9 month old son [Horace **Travers Budge] in the care of Victor and Gertrude Budge[elder brother].**I would love to have any family news of their new life in Canada~ as I am **interested in getting the family tree straight.**I am Jane and Samuel Budges Great Grand Daughter.**Here's Hoping**Jackie Elliott Western Australia.**I believe FRED BUDGE[my cousin]son of Eggie~ is still alive in the area. He **sailed back to Canada with Sam and Hilda in1926 but returned.

I am researching Family History and looking for relatives of Gladys English ( nee Lawrence ) Gladys married a Horace English a Journalist and I believe lived in the Chippenham area~ I am given to understand she may have family living in Kington St. Michael.**Gladys Mum Elizabeth(Lily) Bishop was born in North Wraxall and Elizabeth was the Aunt of my Father Stanley Gilbert George Bishop also born in North Wraxall. My Father was sent to Dr. Barnardos 1922 and after he left ? there we do not have any idea as to his whereabouts until he married my Mother in1940.**Any help would be very much appreciated and any costs involved willingly re-imbursed~**many thanks Diane Everett.

I made an entry on the BOX/CORSHAM Guestbook Notice area in November 2004. I am STILL looking for information regarding circumstances surrounding the Nowells family who lived on Quarry Hill/Hazelbury Hill(?) in the 1950's. Attached to their residence they rented out a cottage to a lady with the surname of Hutchings who moved down from Scotland with her young baby daughter (Frances) in the mid to 1950's. This lady (Nancy) would have known my late father Harold Pyatt after his service in World War 2 and would have been approx 30-35yrs. (The 'Pyatts' household originally consisted of parents Walter & Sarah ~my father the one son & 4 daughters including another Nancy~Florence~ Dorothy & Hilda & lived on Lypiatt Road~ Corsham) The Hutchings mother & daughter moved from Glasgow area to Box/Corsham and it appears they stayed til Nancy H sadly died in approx 1990. The village community has already suggested to me that the child 'Frances' attended BOX village primary school. ****Some people in the village of Box have already tried to help me but so far to no avail and I thank them.I did progress a little bit on the enquiry.****However~ this quest to seek the daughter remains as real and as important as ever. ANY helpful response would be appreciated to aid my background genealogy research stories and the possibility of a familial link with my listed surnames. The daughter 'Frances' most likely by now will have another surname. PLEASE PLEASE HELP - thanking you most kindly . Janeth

Hello Sarah,
I don't know if you remember me I met you some while ago whilst visiting your Dad, we were in Stroud. YOur Dad and I have been in contact for sometime time now, in fact I was speaking with him a couple of weeks ago.
Elizabeth Pullin was my Dad's Step-Mother,sadly 4 years after Elizabeth married my Grandfather my Dad and his Sister were put into Dr. Barnardos - long story. Elizabeth and William Bishop kept Kathleen their Daughter and Williams first Son ( Leslie William Bishop )plus Elizabeths two Sons with them, I have info from Dr Barnardos. On the Birth records of Sidney Pullin it states Sidney Albert HUghes - Surname Pullin, the name HUghes was put with the First names when the Father was known but the couple were not married - now the question in mind is the "Hughes" part as William Henry - Elizabeths Husbands first wife was a Hughes some coincidence could the Dad have been a relation of my Grandmother. You probably find this all as clear as Mud as they say - s

Hello Diane, Amy Bartlett was my Great Great Aunt, as Sid Pullin(b sept 15th 1908) was my Gramp. I was the first girl to be born on the Pullin side for 78years,as one of Sid`s son`s was Ken Pullin who is my father. From what I know Sid took his mothers maiden name Pullin for whatever reason I dont know, but she went onto marry a man by the surname Bishop? Her first name was Betty or it could of been short for Elizabeth? Sid married Rita Megan ?(not sure if she was Hughes) in late 1933 as it is believed she was 6months pregnant with my father Ken. I live in Chippenham now, I have 2 children myself which I intend to take them to slaughterford one day to tell them about my great great aunt Amy etc and see the church.I dont know if this has been any help to you, or you already know of this? Kind Regards Sarah Messenger
