This is a long shot - I met a nice chap on the train from Chester to Crewe last Saturday (25 July) at about 4 pm. He was going out with his friends to Chester for the night. He lived in a village near Crewe.****I live in Benllech~ Anglesey and teach Italian. Am trying to find out any information on the Walker family who used to run a butchers in Over in the 1800s. It was on ?Over Street near to a pub. Some of the names were William~ George~ Edward & Mary. They were related to Burstons the chemist based at 5 Wharton Road. Edward(also k/a Edwin) moved to Davenham then on to Castle but no other details known.

I am researching my Family tree on my Mother's side and would like any info. on the Wardman family. They came from Worthen~ Shropsire. My Gran was born in Over~ Cheshire but married into the Salter family in 1899. Her Father was a Richard Wardman who married a Emma Percival. She died in 1882 aged 39 and he married again to a Elizabeth Emma Williams in 1886. My Gran was on the 1881 Census at the time in Over~ Cheshire aged 5 living with her parents and 2 sisters~Annie Marie Wardman~ and Harriet Florence Wardman.**Incidentally~ my Gran and her husband~ William John Salter had the Cross Guns Public house in Snailbeach~ Salop [that is now a private house] in the 1920's. Does anyone know of anyone who might be related to me? Most grateful for any info. on them.**

My Gran~ Mary Emma Wardman was born in Over~ Cheshire in 1876. Her parents were Emma Percival and Richard Wardman. [he hailed from Shropshire].Emma Wardman died in 1882 aged 39 and my G-Grandad married again in 1886 to Elizabeth Emma Williams. Emma Percival came from Over. Her Father was a William Percival.In 1881 on the census~ I have my Gran aged 5 living at Main Street~ Frogsham with her parents and her sisters~ Annie Marie Wardman and Harriet Florence Wardman. My Gran resided in Shropshire after her wedding~ then lived in Coventry in later years of her life. She died in 1972 aged 96. Does this ring a bell to anyone out there. I would be so grateful for any info. as I am researching my family tree.
