Hi:
I was looking at the 1851 UK census, and found that my Great Great Great Grandfather Thomas Norton was born in your village in around 1790, he was married to to my GGG Grandmother Sarah, Their son Stephen is my GG Grandfather, His Son Edward Deleno Norton was my Great Grandfather, and his son Edward Perkins Norton was my Grandfather. I don't have any info about the Norton's before Thomas, can anyone help me out.

I am researching into the family history of my greatgrandmother Ann Bowles daughter of George and Martha Bowles of Coln St. Aldwyn. She and her sister Mary married 2 brothers from Dean Bedfordshire. According to 1841 census there were 4 other siblings - Jane~ Harriet~ Elisa and Susan. Did they have any issue?

I was born in Feb 1934 in Cheltenham when my parents lived in THE LIMES~ SOUTH CERNEY. My twin sister died in December 1934 (?) and I believe is buried in the Church Cemetary in South Cerney. Are the original houses where we lived still standing. Left the village before I was two. Are there any Church records of my sisters funeral?

Hello**I am looking for information on William Giles whose real surname could be Howse. Born sept 17th 1928. William was adpoted by Percy Giles who was born in Cricklade in 1885 I think the St Sampson area. Percy did move to Eastbourne Sx for a time and married Caroline Mayan in 1924. They had 3 children which all could have been adopted Phyllis~ Stuart and William my father in law. **Percy could have had a sum of money given to him when he adopted William and I think he may have brought the Blacksmiths in Cricklade. If anyone has any info please pass it on as my husband would like to find more about his father. Thanks

I am looking for any information on Percy Painter Giles born 1885 Cricklade he could have been a Blacksmith ot his fater could have been. He married in Eastbourne Sx 1924 but may have gone back there to live in the 1920/30 He adopted my husbands father hence our name is Giles but we belive his real name to be Howse ( William) born Sept 17th 1928. A sum of money was given to Percy about รบ200 which was alot of money in those days and Percy may have brought the Blacksmiths with this money.. I wonder if anyone knows the Howse family that lived in Cricklade so we can find out the real ancestors of the family. If anyone can help please contact me

I was able to trace the ancestral lineage of my English-born great grandmother up to Robert GOULDING (1513-1582) in Meysey Hampton~ Gloucester~ England. I also live in Canada. Rumors say that a Robert GOULDING signed the arrest warrant of Mary~ Queen of Scots? Is he the one?**From Nicole Descottes
