I am trying to find out more info on my fathers family, he was Stanley Eric Joseph Mills born 30 Straight Road Lexden 9th March 1909. I have some info on great and great great grandparents all coming from Lexden and Stanway would like to find out where they are buried. Not much info on Grandparents Joseph Mills and wife Nancy Stephen Ledger would like their birth and marriage death certificates. How do I go about acquiring these please.
We already have your Stanway People and Places c1700 - 1840. Did you ever have published the Lexden one you were working on.

• Hi Death certificates will tell you where they died - this will give you a clue as to where they are buried. If died at Lexden then could be at St Leonards Church or at Colchester cemetery. Once you have the death date,both the church and the cemetery have good records. I have published a book on the Lexden & Winstree Workhouse and recently one on Stanway 1900-1920 - which includes the following `Mills` - Robert, Alfred,Leonard,Edward,Thomas,Albet & Charles. They were all about around the time Stanley Eric Joseph Mills was born - so may fit into your tree somewhere.

My father Bartholomew Haddon Saunders was a methodist minister in Norfolk and Suffolk about 1925. He was born to John Matthew Saunders and Elizabeth Haddon in Newfield~ Co. Durham in 1903. He lived in Fingringhoe when he met my mother about 1938~ Muriel Wash b. 1918 (to Jesse Walsh and Beatrice Roberts). He was widowed at the time and we have no info on his first wife.**If there are any possible Haddon~ Saunders or Walsh connections I'd love to hear! Email direct.******

Hello. Would anyone know of Robert Green born to Robert Green~ a Miller. I believe Robert jr was born in c1801 in Ardleigh as he gave on the 1851 census. Robert Green jr is my great great grandfather. His youngest child was my father's grandmother: Jane Rebekah Green. Robert's 4 children with wife no 2~ Sarah Watkins from Wales~ were all born in Heath Weeley and later went to St Osyth to live before they all seem to have travelled far and wide.**Regards~ Julie

I am descended from Robert Page~ of Boxted~ who was born about 1558-1560~ married to Susanna Syckerling a daughter of William Syckerling. **I am interested in knowing and perhaps receiving a picture of the burial site of Robert~who was buried in Boxsted Churchyard. I do not know where that is. I am interested in finding out about Alfred MARSDEN who was a driver with an Australian Company of Field Engineers during WW1. He married Ivy Kathleen TANNER and gave his address as Brightlingsea~ Colchester. Ivy was a munitions worker. Was there a munitions factory near Colchester during the war? I am looking for information and records pertaining to ancestors of my husband's great grandfather John Drane~ born 1812~ occupation Ploughman from Aldham~ Colchester~ Essex. John Drane came to Australia on "The John" in 1832. Records and documents I have list his parents as John Drane and Jane (Jayne)Godfrey. iam doin g research on the nayler family history most i have found in the greenstead colchester area frank nayler was my grandchildrens grt grt granfather he was afire man who was killed in afire in colchester about 1923 5 a plaque in the dutch quater i have wondered about as in my search i found could be naylers dutch church colchester 1600s as naylers were a big family is there anyone else reseaching this family
