LOVE family.
Anyone with any info leading to Mary Ann Norman (LOVE) m Joseph Love originally from Northern Ireland.
They had quite a few children. Mary was from Halstead, Essex her parents owned a public house.
Joseph was 40 when he married Mary she being about 18.
They married @Ebenezer Church, Halstead, he being a saddle maker. They moved to Colchester, then Peterborough, where he died about 77 yrs of age.

I'm tracing the history of the Hodges family. Edward James Hodges was a clergyman in Markshall in 1916 (the year his son John was killed, aged 19).
Can anyone tell me more about the family or point me in the right direction.
Reverend Hodges and his wife, Constance, had 2 children that I know about - Phillis and John. Were there any more?
The family moved to Bedford and I have evidence of them living there in the 1950s. How long were they in Markshall? They moved to the village from Lerwick in the Shetlands after the 1901 census but before the Great War began in 1914.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

domesday book has little maplestead written as parvae mapestead## i am searching for a family history name connection of mapstead/mepstead to the now given name of little maplestead church/village...the mepstead name traveled in 1826 from county kent ~ england to new south wales australia~ and from there in 1856 to san bernardino~ california~ usa~ where the name was taken as mapstead...mepstead name still remains in england and australia... any ideas?...thank you~ noel oard mapstead

I am looking for my 'Doe' family who lived in Mount Bures between 1880 and 1950. Anyone who has any info on the Does~ I would really appreciate an email as i am trying to piece together my family tree. My great grandfather Sidney Thomas Doe and his wife Annie Doe maiden name Frost lived in the village with their daughter and my grandmother Betty Doe. I am looking for information and records pertaining to ancestors of my husband's great grandfather John Drane~ born 1812~ occupation Ploughman from Aldham~ Colchester~ Essex. John Drane came to Australia on "The John" in 1832. Records and documents I have list his parents as John Drane and Jane (Jayne)Godfrey. There remains a family tradition dating back generations that the first son of the first son in the family should be named John. I am in Australia. Many thanks.

I am now 44. I lived in Greenfield Drive in 1977 till 1978. I can only remember so many names ... The Da Silvas- Jon~ Sandra~ Phil~ Ines. Andy McEwan~ Nigel Collings~ Philip Thomson~ Sue think was McEwan~ Colin Jenkins (gorgeous lad!!!) Ivan Dyer. I would really love it if anyone (with a better memory than me) Would drop me a wee email or pass this on. I am still living in Scotland. Been back here since I left the village. I have loads of happy memories of the village. Went to Discos in the village hall. My dads name is David Hale his wife is Valerie. They stayed in the village after I left to come back to live in Scotland with my grandparents.

Seeking family tree info on William Moore and his first wife Mary Ann Gibbs (early 1800s). She died and he married again~ this time to my G/Granmother. They had several children one of whom was my granfather Newman Sargeant Moore~ he lived in Sages End Road~ Helions Bumpstead with his wife and had 12 children~ one of which was my mother Marjorie Bessie Moore.
