I am looking for info on John Storey and Elizabeth Ann Tindale. My grandfather was the son of the above. He came to Canada and had one sister named Mary who married a Tindale and a brother named Stanley Tindale Storey. I have very little else of info.

I have now found out my uncle was born in 1916 at the Pear Tree Farm~ Chopwell. Can anyone give me any information about the farm. Is it still there etc. I also now know my grandmother's name was Elizabeth Carroll. Before the family moved to Australia in 1924~ they lived at Loft House farm~ Lintz Green~ Burnopfield. Co. Durham.

My father was born (I believe~ according to his wedding certificate) in Ebchester. His name was Edward Charlton. He was born on 22 June 1918. His father was Alfred Peter Charlton~( although as I knew him~ he called himself Peter)~and his mother was Elizabeth (maiden name not known. My father had a brother Albert Robson Charlton. The family moved to Australia around 1922/23. My grandmother had a sister called Rosie~ who remained in England.

I live in Victoria~ Australia and my ancestors came from Barnard Castle~ Eggleston~ Stanhope and Alston~ Cumberland.**I am descended from Isaac Wailes (later Wales) who married Dorothy Dalkin in 1823. Dorothys parents were George Dalkin and Catherine Freak. **Isaac Wailes had a son John who married Frances Craig and he had a bootmakers shop in Stanhope.
