looking for a family tree link in Whitstone Devon~ Mr Eli John West born Whitstone (Newton st Cyres) Devon about 1867. He married Mary Mogridge in 1888. They had 4 children~ Reginald William West born 1890~ Ernest Albert West (my Grandfather) born 1891~ Arthur H West born 1895~ and Olive M (maybe Alice M) West born 1899~ died 1923 of TB. Hi~ In research into my family tree my search has come to this area in Devon. According to the 1861 census there was a family called (as far as i can see on the image) called Crump. In 1861 there was a John Crump age 67 born Ide~ Mary Crump age 65 born Moretonhampstead. John West (Grandson~ my great-great-great Grandfather) age 17 born Newton st Cyres~ Samuel Crump age 35~ Widower (lodger) born Newton st Cyres~ Eliza Crump age 7 born Shobrooke~ and Samuel Crump age 4~ born Shobrooke. There might also be a John & Dinah West ~ who had 6 children~ the 3 of them born in the area. John Eli West born 1867~ Alice born 1866~ Mary E born 1865. I attended St Luke's College in 1970-71 and became a secondary school teacher~ teaching Maths and Science. Some of the tutors at the college that I was associated with are were Dr Norman Bull~ Mr Laxton~ and Mr John Balding.**Several of my class members and friend were Stella Avery and Eric Pearce. I would like to hear from them. I am now residng back in New Zealand and have been there since leaving UK in 1972~ for th secon time. I previous had lived in NZ since 1952. I now have a B.Ed~ M.Ed(hons) and a Ph.D degrees
