We are inviting the public with any family trees with a connection to Barlborough to come along and share it and add it to those trees we already hold.The centre will make available its huge archive of materials for further research including , photographs, wills, census, monumental inscriptions. newspaper cuttings etc. Full disabled access, Free Parking.Self service cafe on site. Comfy seating areas where you can sit and browse.

I am tracing my mothers family who lived at Barbers Row Barlborough . My Grandfathers name was Charles Thomas Adams and My Grandmothers Name was Alice Pettinger . They had Five children ~ Benjamin ( B ) 1896 Lillian ( B ) 1898 George ( B ) 1901 Elizabeth ( B ) 1910 John ( B ) 1913 .I know what happened to Lillian And Elizabeth but do not know what happened to Benjamin ~ George and John so if anyone has any information I would be very grateful . • Hello Ursula Brown. im doing a familytree to. And now im at de brown family. My question to you is , Do you know a man named Basil B Brown. Born between 1890 and 1920. He was a marine or soldier an was send to Indonesia at WWII Padang Sumatra Emmaharbour in 1944 or 1945. Why i want to know that. Well he's my grand dad but i never met him. Looking to locate family members of Joseph Platts born 1903~ had three sons Laurence (Larry)~ Christopher and Reginald. Larry used to play football for Nottingham Forest in the late 1940's. i worked for 17 years at creswell colliery and i am searching my family tree.**on my mothers side are a number of miners with the surname pearson.**i would be very greatfull for any information on.**william pearson killed at creswell colliery 8th nov 1921 age 42.**john pearson (miner)lived creswell till death 1939 age 65.**rufus pearson (miner)lived creswell till death 1984 age 84.**thomas pearson (miner)lived clowne in 1901 age 30.**thank you.**stuart.****

My grandmother's family name was Woodhead~and I have managed to trace back 4 generations of Woodheads~ all born~ married and buried in Elmton. I have looked at church records on the Mormon website~ but there appears to be one generation missing. I am trying to trace a John Woodhead~ born between 1730 and 1738 in Elmton - he is the missing link in my tree! I should so very grateful if anyone could help.
