i am doing my family tree namely the brown &ballard connection we know that going back to the 1916 fred&alice brown lived at 4 church avenue when the1st child fred was born they lived at 43 field drive shirebrook when alice had ~ her 2nd born elizabeth they moved to another address near the anglican church?in shirebrook area.also doing my husbands cousin 1st remove family tree geoff ballard~ his mother maiden name was ann pickering b bulwell notts when she was 1 m old moved to 33 field drive shirebrook 5 brothers samuel b1902 albert1904 arthur 1906 john ? cyril 1909ann pickering m william ballard 31 july 1920had 3 children margaret joan ~geoff if anyone has any knowledge of any of above persons mentioned or related to i would be very pleased to hear from you please email me or we can phone when we exchange phone numbers kind regards ursula brown.

• Hello Ursula Brown. im doing a familytree to. And now im at de brown family. My question to you is , Do you know a man named Basil B Brown. Born between 1890 and 1920. He was a marine or soldier an was send to Indonesia at WWII Padang Sumatra Emmaharbour in 1944 or 1945. Why i want to know that. Well he's my grand dad but i never met him. He had an affair with me grand ma. But in wartime they split up. If you don't know him may be you can help me to find him!

I am looking for my fathers family. His name is Laurence Platts~ (known to everyone as Larry). He played football for Nottingham Forest in the late 1940. His fathers name was Joseph Platts. He has two brothers Christopher (who had three daughters I believe) his other broher was either Raymond or Reginald. Any feed back would be a great help. Tony Platts

His name was Larry Platts~ played football for Nottingham Forest in the late 1940's.**His father was Joseph Platts and he had two brothers~ Christopher (Who I believe had 3 daughters) and his other brother was I believe either Reg or Raymond. My grandmother's family name was Woodhead~and I have managed to trace back 4 generations of Woodheads~ all born~ married and buried in Elmton. I have looked at church records on the Mormon website~ but there appears to be one generation missing. I am trying to trace a John Woodhead~ born between 1730 and 1738 in Elmton - he is the missing link in my tree! I should so very grateful if anyone could help.
