My name is Elizabeth Mackenzie Pearse. My Dad was Alexander Harvie Mackenzie born 1867 in Waterside.**I am looking for any information on Waterside.**Dad's brother John was a great entertainer in the late 1940s & 50s in Patna~ Dalmellington~ Waterside area~ with his puppets one that could play the mouth organ. He also had a lady playing the violin that he sculptured from coal. Any information on Harveys or Mackenzies would be greatly appreciated.

My name is Darren Murray my dad Jim Murray and his brothers and sisters~ (Hue~ Paul and Patricia)~ all grew up in this area. My grandma and grandads name was Jim and Mary. My grandad was a coal minor. I believe that my Grandad James Murray was born at Waterside. My Great Grandfathers name was Peter and his wife Katherine or Katy. I was born in Warwickshire where I now live with my daughter Amelia. I have very fond memories of visiting Ayr as a child.

They lived at 52 **Truffhill**John & Sarah had a son John who was avery talented man in many things. He did a **lot of entertaining in the villages of Patna Waterside Dalmellington.
