Hi could anyone please tell me anything about the Gilks/jilks/Ghilks family that came from the villiage. In particular I am looking for information on William Jilks who on 10 Jan 1793 married Elizabeth Matthews~ I would love to find out if they were born in the village & if so who the parents were?****Are there any Memorials in the church yard related to this family?****Any help would be very much appreciated**Kind Regards Judi

Hello from Tennessee~ I am researching my great grandfather's family(Emery's)who came from Whilton & Daventry- for my 86 yrs. young father! Records indicate-Joseph(b.1797)& Maria Haynes Emery had several children including Samuel(1836-1919?)& my descendent William(1846-1919)born at Middlemore farmhouse. A photo circa 1900 shows Samuel & Rebecca Parnell & children.**I am interested in locating any Emerys of this line- esp.**Gordon William Emery who farms in the area.

I am researching my great-grandfather's family from Braunston. My great-grandfather's name was Henry James Good and he was born to Henry Good(e) and Hannan Saul (also known as Heath) in 1868. Hannah passed away in 1871 and I do not know where his father went at that time~ as Henry Jr. was sent to live with an aunt in London.****Henry's grandmother Alice Saul may have married a man by the name James Heath after 1856. Both James Heath and Alice's first husband James Saul were boatmen.

I am researching my family the Adams my grandfather George Lewis Adams was born to joseph and sarah nee Boot oct##1872 his mother died in childbirth in 1876 leaving 3 chilren George~ Mary Ann n/a Annie and Isabella who my mother was named after. They lived in Whilton Locks. Aunt Annie married Fred James

• My Gt. Aunt (Annie Elizabeth Marsh) married William Robert Green who was a blacksmith at Flore. He was born 1870 and died 1943; they got married in 1896 and had 6 children as far as I know. Constance Annie b. 1898, William Henry b 1900, Frank b 1903 and Robert b 1903, Fred b 1908 and Evelyn Maisie (known as Maisie) b. 1912
