I am looking for information about John Edward Richardson. He married Susan Roberts in 1885 in Batley aged 22 years. The marriage certificate shows he was the son of Benjamin Richardson~ a bottle maker.****Sometime inbetween 1885 and 1891 John stole the patent to some mill machinery and fled to America (leaving his wife and young son behind) with the police hot on his heels****Any knowledge of this family or the crime comitted would be very welcome****Thank you****Lyndsey

Hi All~**I'm tracing my mother's family tree (Taylor) and have come up against a barrier that leads to Low Moor~ yorkshire. I'm trying to trace a Jonathan Taylor~ born abt. 1816 in Low Moor along with his brother John dob 1816~ sisters Jane dob 1821 and Mary dob 1826. According to the 1841 census~ the mother was an Ann Taylor but this would have been her married name. There is no trace of the father on the census. The 1841 census shows all living in Staindrop~ County Durham where they lived for many years after.**Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks**Steve

• Hello. I believe I am the Granddaughter of Percy Broadbelt. I recall his brother Norman taking photographs of me and my brother when we were very small. I remember Lily very well. She was very jolly! Grandad (Percy) and Grandma (Margaret) used to try and explain who was who in the family. In my teens I even delivered Lily's newspapers to her. I live in the United states. I am renovating my house and we took the old shingles off~ and underneath them was this name and address: Frank Stead~ 1 Church Hill St. Stanningley~ N. Leeds~ Yorkshire~ England. It was written in pencil on the wood siding under the shingles. Our guess is that it was written either around 1880 when the house was built (actually it is a carriage house)~ or maybe in the 1950's when it was converted for human habitation. Does anyone know this man? I know the original owner of the carriage house was British her name was Ellen Chase. Perhaps you know her too???!

I am looking for an obituary and death certificate reference for Thomas Watson (b.1811 Hunslet~ Leeds) and who died (according to oral family history) by suicide (again according to word of mouth by hanging himself from London Bridge) in 1879. The London Bridge part might be a mistake perhaps for Leeds Bridge?**Thomas was married to Elizabeth (nee Roberts) in Otley in 1834. On the 1871 census she is shown as widowed.

• Hello. There is a cemetery close to Low Moor (much less than a mile). It is called North Bierley Cemetery. There is also another in this area which is also used a lot called Scholemoor Cemetery. Hope this helps.

Does anyone know where 17 Woodland Road was in Bradford. I'm guessing the road no longer exists as I can't find it on Streetmap. The reason I ask is that I have an old photograph of 5 soldiers (guessing WW1 from dress and quality of photograph).
