I am trying to find out what became of my grandfather~ George Sadler~ born in Honing 1870~ one of 12 children of James and Hannah (nee Turner). George married in Australia but his wife died shortly after the birth of my father. My father was adopted by his aunt~ had no knowledge of his father and there has been no record of what happened to George. It is possible he returned to UK~ maybe remarried?

He was my grandfather~ and I spent a lot of my childhood at the rectory between 1956 and 1965.****The email does not work. My great grandfather is Berney Seymour (Petre) and he was a photographer in Aylsham and lived on Commercial Road~ with his own business~ born 1852~ died 1904. Trying to gather some family history information on the Woodhouses. I can trace back to a George Woodhouse born ~ 1822 In Bacton. George married Rachel Bacon in 1855 and had I believe 4 sons - George~ Charles~ Henry and John Birthdates were ~ 1856~ 1858~ 1859 and 1862. Henry emigrated to Canada ~ 1888. Charles had 4 sons Albert (b~1886)~ Herbert (b~1890)~ Frederick (b~1891) and Sydney (b~1895). I'm not sure if there were anymore as I could only go back to the 1901 census. I'd be interested to hear if anyone has any info or if there are any descendants still in the Bacton area. Planning a visit in summer of 2009.

Trying to find the name of some chalets that we used to visit when i was a kid! **I remember there were 13 of them (I think?) and they were dark brown and **red! ## I think they used to be owned by Hoseasons~ but there not in the **brochure now. Have trawled the net~ and not come up with anything. I remember **there was a house next to them~ and there was a small shop just down the lane. **There was also an amusement arcade and shops just a short walk. They were near **the beach~ and you had to go past the bungalows at the back to get to the **beach. Any info greatly appreciated. I also remember Ed and Mary who had the **little acfe on the sea front! Visited in the 70's and remember the good times **we had in lovely Bacton! Many thanks~ Kate
