They had a son also named Joseph born 1865 and was married to Sarah Ann Smtih born 1874 in Barleston Leicestershire. I am a direct decendant of these people. My maternal grandmother's name was Emily Annie Bettle. Her father~ Crick Bettle~ was born in Kingsthorpe~ Northampton c.1813. I should be very pleased to hear if there any of the Bettle family still in the area. Crick married Ann Ager in 1836 but had no children. He then appears to have started a family with Elizabeth Stedman and one of their many children was Emily~ my grandmother. ****Chris Brown
