My great aunt Annie Parnwell (Strickland) Gray born 1859 Peterborough~ died 1906. She was married to Charles Gray Mayor of Stamford 1901-1902. Does anyone have any information on the family~ I am particularly interested in obtaining a copy of a photograph of Annie for my family history file. ****I have been informed by a lady~ who at one time worked for Charles Gray & Co.~ that the family moved to the village of Wing. **

We visited this beautiful area after discovering my husband's ancestors came from Empingham and Edith Weston in the 1850's. Any information on the Stevens or Chamberlin families would be most welcome. Amos Chamberlin Stevens went to Leeds together with a Thomas Stevens and they both established large families there. My husband is descended from Amos Chamberlin Stevens.

I visited Pickworth recently as My Great Grandmother ( Elizabeth Ann Avery) was born there~ and found 5 graves in the churchyard mentioning 7 ancestors....it was wonderful. It was quite a large family~ as I've found by looking at various census. It would however be nicer to find living relatives. Are there any Avery's or Healam's left in the area~ if so would love to hear from you.
