• My G Grand father George Stokes Aldwinckle was born in Drayton in 1845 to Sarah Aldwinckle she married John stokes later on the same year and he accepted the infant hence the two names, Samuel Stokes was head of the Family next door according to the 1841 Census for Drayton and Bringherst I will be pleased to here from any one who may have more information on this subject

Attracted by the name Dingley of the Village. My GGGGgrandparents are buried in the Dingley Cemetery~ which is in Duxbury~ Massachusetts~ USA. I live in Titusville NJ USA. My family came to Mass. in about 1630 and were one of the first families to live there. They came to Mass. from Market Harborow in Leichestershire. I have been chasing the family bones for about 10 years.

I would like to hear from anyone who was related to Samuel John Henry Goodman. He was born in 1906. At the time of his death in Feb.1982 he lived at No.15 Rockingham Village. He was one of my father's cousins~ just a year younger. But we have no knowledge of him. I would be delighted to make contact with anyone who knew him or has some connection with the Goodman family in Rockingham. Thank you.

I am very eager to hear from anyone who may have any connection with the Goodman line in Rockingham. I believe the family has links going back over 280 years~ but I am particularly interested in Levi (1837-1925)and Rose (1836-1926) Goodman~ who lived all their married lives in the village (64 years)and had 8 children. Two sons (Edward and Joseph) went to the USA sometime prior to 1911. Their youngest child~ also named Levi~ was my grandfather. He became policeman in Somerset~ before marrying and settling in Exeter~ Devon. If there is anyone with any information about this Rockingham family~ I would be delighted to hear from them. In 1980~ I visited the Church at Slawston and tried to restore the Pipe Organ **with the help of 3 village boys.I also rang the bells by hanging some old **ropes.Unfortunately~ I never had the finances to return from Australia and **continue the restoration process.I am wondering if anyone can tell me if it is **still there and if it is working?I am still very intersted.Has anything been **done since then? Many thanks for your help.

I am looking for descendants of the Kemp family from Ashley in the 1700 & **1800's. Edward Berry Kemp & his children Mary~ Francis Edward & Eleanor Esther.**I know that Eleanor Esther married my gg grandfather George Simpkin & moved to **Braybrooke.**Francis Edward seems to have remained in Ashley until the late 1800's.**Would love to hear from any Kemp descendants as they would be my distant **cousins.**Hazel~**Essex
