Hi~ I am trying to find my grandmothers family Sarah Elizabeth Jones nee Welch I believe her parent are buried in Shepton Beaucham. Family memories say the parents were originally from seavington St Michael. Family also say that my grandmother was born on 3rd July 1889 in Conneticut USA but can find no records. My grandmother married David J Jones in 1915 in Pontypridd. I don't know when the Welch's died. Is there anything in the parish records~ or anyone who might have any info on them

My paternal granmothers maiden name was welch~ I believe her parents are buried in the church yard. I believe they were originally from Seavington St Michael they went to America in the 1880's i believe my grandmother was born in Conneticut July 1889. I do not know when the returned to the UK unfortunately I have run up against a brick wall. Does anyone have any info please

My Father Ilford and his Brother Reginald were born at Ilford Bridges in the early 1900s**Their parents were James and Elizabeth Welch. Elizabeth was the daughter of Levi and Mary Ann Woodland (nee Trott) I believe her family came from the Donyatt area. While living at Ilford Bridges they were butter and cream farmers. After an influenza epidemic in the early 1900's in which my grandma lost both parents and her daughter They left Ilford Bridges and made their way to Brisbane Australia Levi and Mary Ann ran the Butchers Arms in a nearby village**My grandfather was a returned British Lancer having served in India as corporal/drummer. He was the son of a John Welch

Alistair Desmond Chivers (Dez)aged no 55 went to school in Langport and it is believed his parents Margaret and Ivan Chivers are local to Langport. Dez is a vulnerable missing person recently missing from Newmarket Suffolk having dissapeared in June 2008 having lived in Newmarket for the past 30 years. Dez has white hair and wears thick glasses and has in the past slept rough. He also frequents pubs a lot. Dear Friends of Langport. I was evacuated here in 1939 from Barking ~ London. I was first billeted with Mr & Mrs Shepherd~ and then a Mr & Mrs Woods. Friends that I can remember are the Elsom's that had a farm not far away from the Shepherd's. I would like to be contacted from an persons from that period of history. I am now living i New Zealand but can remember my schooldays in Langport~ haymaking with the Elsom's~ picking cider apples. hand milking cows~ and fishing on the River Parret. With thanks.
