Stays in hotels in Berkshire this Easter time could be combined with a trip to the Hocktide Festival in Hungerford.
The annual celebrations are held on the second Tuesday after Easter and local residents are described as "the only people in Britain still to don their costumes as part of the Hocktide celebrations".
Crowds of people are attracted into the town on the day when the Tuttimen follow the Orange Man around residences and climb up ladders along the high street to present local ladies with an orange in exchange for a kiss.
A penny is the proferred by gentlemen to the Tuttimen, who carry poles decorated with flowers.
Dating from the 14th century, the traditional festival is also known as Tutti Day locally and will be held on April 13th this year.
Visitors to west Berkshire in May could attend the Newbury Spring Festival between the 8th and 22nd of the month, with a host of musical performances on offer around the town.
