Those organising winter breaks in Cumbria could take a trip on one of the Ullswater Steamers.
According to the Daily Mail, the boats are now back in operation following the flooding that struck the region in November and lake cruises are available.
Boasting a 150-year history, the steamers are family-run and provide a beautiful way to see the region.
Operating on Ullswater, the steamers operate close to the famous Shadow Bay hotel, which has a Michelin starred restaurant on the shore and has attracted visitors such as Sir Paul McCartney and Barbara Streisand, the news source notes.
Launched in 1877, the steamers attract crowds of visitors each year and there are currently four vessels operating on the lake, linking cruises with some of the region's most popular walks.
Additionally, visitors staying in hotels in the Lake District could use the steamer services to go birdwatching, enjoy a lakeside picnic or visit a local hotel or tearoom.
