The Royal Armouries in Leeds is the venue for an international competition that will take visitors back to the middle ages over the Easter weekend this year.
A jousting tournament is taking place over four days starting on April 2nd in the Tiltyard next to the museum, with competitors attempting to win the Sword of Honour.
In addition to the display of live authentic medieval jousting, the venue has also organised arts and crafts activities, a falconry display and combat displays, while visitors can have a go themselves at sword fighting with experts.
There will be two jousts each day at 12:15 BST and 14:45 BST.
Meanwhile, those planning to stay in hotels in Yorkshire during the half-term holidays will be interested to learn that the Royal Armouries in Leeds has arranged a series of Spies & Secret Agents events in the Root gallery between February 13th and 21st, including a Spy Skool, live performances, arms and armour handling sessions and guided tours.
