Residents in Daventry and Brixworth will have the opportunity to find out more about a range of renewable energy measures at two free drop-in events next month.
The advice surgeries are being held at the United Reformed Church Hall in Sheaf Street, Daventry, on Friday, February 5, between 9am and 2pm, and at Brixworth Library in Spratton Road on Saturday, February 6, from 9am to 1pm.
Organised by Daventry District Council in partnership with the Energy Saving Trust, the drop-in sessions will allow people to discuss a range of renewable technologies, such as solar panels and air source heat pumps, with experts and professional installers, as well as a new feed-in tariff being launched in April and grants of up to £2,500.
There will also be the opportunity for people to arrange a free, no obligation survey of their home to discover if they could benefit from loft or cavity insulation.
Councillor Catherine Boardman, Portfolio Holder for Environment at Daventry District Council, said: “These free drop-in sessions are a great opportunity for people to see whether they may be able to benefit from new energy solutions.”
