Age Concern Somerset exists to work across Somerset and North Somerset to promote the wellbeing of all older people and make later life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience. For more than 60 years Age Concern Somerset has been providing vital services that make a huge difference in older peoples’ lives and it is only with the help of volunteers that these services continue.

Have you ever considered what you might do if one day you are unable to cut your own toenails or confidently answer your front door? Sometimes it is the ability to do everyday things that we take for granted now that can suddenly be taken away, affecting our quality of life on a daily basis. Age Concern Somerset is a registered charity, (charity no. 1015900), that relies on public donations of both funds and time to provide its Advocacy, Ageing Well, Safe & Secure, Together and Toenail Cutting services. Many of the services are provided free to vulnerable elderly residents and without help from volunteers the organisation would struggle to keep this up.
