Concerns were expressed at the end of 2009 about the proposal to withdraw the Sunday evening Citi 4 bus service after 5.30pm. The Parish Council will be writing to Stagecoach and Cambridgeshire County Council to complain about the reduction in the useful service.

The Football Club have advised that the new grass on the pitch is growing, but it is necessary to avoid playing on the pitch for the rest of the season to allow the grass to become established. Discussion regarding alternatives are in hand.

During a recent inspection of the Egremont Road playground, it was disappointing to see that graffiti had been applied to the inside and outside of the cabin at the top of the slide. This is costly and time consuming to eradicate and any residents witnessing this taking place are urged to report the culprits to prevent a recurrence.

The Parish Council has been invited by BT to adopt the red telephone box in the village, for a nominal cost of £1. This is due to the very limited usage of the kiosk, which no longer appears to be required as a means of communication, and is uneconomic to maintain. If adopted, the equipment is removed, and the kiosk may be used in any way of benefit to the community. The Parish Council is making further enquiries about the conditions involved before reaching a decision.
