Duncan Nagle from Bristol has been selected from more than 3,000 applicants across the UK as one of ten finalists for a dream travel job to spend twelve months holidaying around the world.  lowcostholidays.com, the online travel company, has announced the ten finalists who will now begin campaigning for a majority of public votes.  The winner of this public election is guaranteed an annual salary of £20K and a holiday abroad every month for a year as the official lowcostholidays.com real holiday reviewer.

Duncan who runs his own online company in Bristol said, “Having previously been described as the unwanted love-child of Judith Chalmers and Charlie Brooker, it came as no surprise that lowcostholidays.com chose me to be in their final 10. I know that the next few weeks are going to be tough, but hopefully I will gain enough support for the Vote Duncan campaign to ensure that I am able to deliver on my key manifesto pledge - "You don't have to BE exceptional to DO the exceptional.”

New research undertaken by lowcostholidays.com shows that over 70% of consumers look online at blog and review sites for inspiration and advice when booking their holiday, rather than reading holiday brochures or visiting travel agents. The lowcostholidays.com real reviewer will write honest reviews and tips from twelve destinations around the world to help customers when booking their holiday.  The reviews will include Holidays to Spain, covering the Balearic Islands, Turkey Holidays, Italian cities, tropical destinations such as the Dominican Republic and Eygpt Holidays

The finalists from across the UK include a burlesque model from Scotland, a stand up comedian from London and a recruitment consultant from Essex. To follow them on their campaign trails and to vote for your ideal candidate, visit www.lowcostholidaysbigsearch.com and cast your vote.  Online polling closes at midnight on Friday 11th June with no queues or closures planned.  The winner will be announced on 14th June and will also appear in a national advertising campaign for lowcostholidays.com.

The ten finalists are Roxy Stuart from East Midlands, Sarah Clapham from the North West, Sam Simmons from London, Christina Leon from Scotland, Lee Blake from London, Duncan Nagle from the West Midlands, Lauren Stott from Yorkshire, Steve Henson from the East of England, Danny Steele from London and Susan Mellor from the South East.

  • I voted for Duncan cause a) I was asked to a number of times and, more importantly, 2) because I am an avid fan of his and his lovely lady wife's comedy photo albums and video escapades published on facebook. With this in mind, I reckon if anyone is going to provide lowcostholiday readers with the facts they need to make an informed choice on holidays, it's going to be Duncan. Good luck treacle!
