As you leave the A55 to head towards the Town of Holywell you pass through the pretty village of Lloc. If you've time to stop for a meal you pass the Roack at Lloc which has a nice menu and the food is wonderful. But, to get to the hidden gem at Lloc you need to turn down the road opposite the Rock and next to the garage. The road is signed for Prestatyn and Rhuddlan, but a quarter mile or so down the road you see a sign for the Misty Waters restaurant and hotel. GO THERE !!!!
The food is great and there is an extremely varied menu for starters, main meals and puddings to warm your heart and probably warn your heart too.
The staff are attentive but not overboard. There is a nice comfy seating area for the bar and a wonderfully light and airy dining room where it's no surprise to see a couple of ducks waddle past the window.
I recommend a visit either alone or as part of a group...you'll be pleased you found it.
