.OAKAMOOR PARISH COUNCIL MINUTES    65

MINUTES OF MEETING OF OAKAMOOR PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON 1ST. NOVEMBER 2010

Present:  Cllr. Cresswell (Chairman)
Cllrs. Beard, Charles, Edwards, Ellis, Fallows. 


Apologies:  Cllr. Meadows, SMDC Cllr. Richardson.

Attending:  One member of the public, one representative of the local press, Mr. N. Clark, Mr.J.W.Wood, Clerk. 

  SMDC Cllr. Richardson had sent a letter of apology to Council stating the reasons for his absence (illness) and his intention to attend as many meetings as his health allows. Letter read out to meeting. Council to send best wishes for a speedy recovery and emphasise appreciation of his input.



  The Chairman permitted matters reported under Minute 10.92 to be taken first.
 

10.89  DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

None.

10.90  MINUTES

Resolved that the minutes of the meeting held on Monday, 4th. October 2010 be signed as a true and correct record.

10.91  MATTERS ARISING


 A.  Children’s Playground (Ref:10.81.A)
To remain on agenda.  No further progress. Accurate figure required for land for affordable housing by Housing Associations.  Moorland, Aspire and Beth Johnson Housing to be approached re:site visits at location  designated for such purpose.

  B.  Subsidence of Highway in Churnet View Road (Ref: 10.81.B)
To be retained on minutes.


  C.  Duties of Lengthsman (Ref: 10.81.D)
Invoice received with list of work undertaken during October.. 


  D.  Dog Fouling in Village (Ref: 10.81.E)
Continues to occur.  Mentioned in BKV report, which was submitted to Council by Cllr. Edwards. Many favourable comments. Copies to be sent to both churches, public houses, Village Hall Committee with  copy for notice board. 
 
   E.  Cotton College (Ref:  10.81.F)
  No progress reported.

  F. Traffic Speeding Through Village / Farley Road  (Ref: 10.81.G)
On-going. Understood that Liaison meeting has been held with Alton and Farley when this matter was discussed.  Meeting with Mr. Kerrigan to be sought by Chairman.

 
  G. Moneystone Quarry (Ref: 10.81.H)
  No further developments reported. Public consultation anticipated within next three months.

  H.  Road surface on School Drive (Ref:  10.81.I)
 Resurfacing completed to first class standard.  Letter of thanks to be sent to Mr. Greatbatch, with copies to Cty. Cllrs. Maryon and Mycock.
