DANCING AT DOBWALLS

"For almost two years, people across Cornwall, and beyond, have been enjoying the fun and social partner dance known as 'Le Jive'. This easy to learn form of partner dance provides a genuinely cost effective evening out. As well as great exercise, it is an opportunity to meet new friends and simply enjoy moving to music!

Believing in "the more the merrier", Le Jive Organizer Todd Dowty has been on a mission to give as much choice and opportunity for people to get involved. And the take up has been staggering resulting in Le Jive being enjoyed by lots of people every week in Helston, Devoran, Roche and St Tudy.

And soon there will be even more!

Through popular demand, Le Jive is creating even more choice by coming to Liskeard! Opening on Wednesday 1st June this year, and then every Wednesday thereafter, at Dobwall Memorial Hall, giving people in and around Liskeard their very own Le Jive evening right on their doorstep.

A Le Jive evening consists of 3 hours of entertainment. This includes a lesson and a later review session designed for new and fairly new dancers, an intermediate lesson for those that have been coming a while longer and plenty of freestyle time to practice to a very wide range of music.

Every evening relies on a team of volunteers to help ensure the smooth running of the night. Team members roll up their sleeves, put on a Le Jive T-Shirt and help with things like welcoming people through the door, running the beginner review session and even getting on stage with the teacher to demonstrate moves. All team members across all four venues are brilliant and Le Jive can't thank them enough!

Le Jive are now in need of a brand new team to help run the upcoming Wednesdays at Dobwall. No experience at all is needed as full training will be provided. Anyone interested in getting involved and supporting this exciting new activity for the community can contact Todd on 01326 258011 or 07984 470281 or email him at todd@le-jive.co.uk"
