140 years of cricket in Old are being commemorated with a rather special painting. Titled "New Dawn" the oil on canvas study by Daniel Rogers shows players preparing for the first match of the season in front of the new village hall. The artist has captured the early morning sun shining on the new building as the pitch is readied for the game. The church in the background provides the link to the past.
Prints are available through the link provided and can be ordered to suit all tastes and budgets and profits are being donated to the club.
A lovely piece of village and cricket history
