Miles Hinton, aged 36, and his wife Kerry have been at Ye Olde Crown Hotel at Waterhouses for three-and-a-half years.
They held a Ghost Evening with TV historian, Richard Felix, and medium, Philip Soloman, after experiencing mysterious activity in the pub.
They decided to organise the event after carrying out their own investigation, which revealed a strange voice speaking over their voices on a recording they had made.
Miles said: "I thought the event went well. It has generated a lot of reaction and we already have people booked for another event.
"Richard and Philip were really good and Philip was very engaging.
"I can honestly say I didn't tell him anything about the pub or what we had experienced before. He picked up on everything himself.
"The highlight for me was when we were in the old shed outside, because there was a lot of activity and things which Philip picked up on.
"A couple of things have happened since the event. We have heard a lot of knocking in the front bar and the next day there was suddenly loads of cobwebs around.
"It is odd because during a seance, Philip said people might feel something like cobwebs on their face, as a sign of a presence.
"And after everyone left following the event, we heard someone walking up the stairs.
"We definitely heard clear footsteps and thought it might have been the children but when we checked, they were asleep, and there was no-one else there."
