Tributes flood in for former Air Cadet Red 4, Flight Lieutenant Jon Egging RAF

It was withthe deepest of sadness that the MOD confirmed the death of a formerWarwickshire Air Cadet, Flight Lieutenant Jon Egging of the Royal Air Force RedArrows Aerobatics Team. Flight Lieutenant Jon Egging was killed when his Hawkaircraft - Red 4 - crashed at Bournemouth Airport on Saturday 20th August 2011.

Followingthis tragic news the Cadets and Staff of the Warwickshire & Birmingham Wingof the Air Training Corps would wish to extend their sincere condolences to Jon’s family and friends. Wewould also wish to offer our deepest support for the other members of the RedArrows Team and the members of 2028 (Southam) Squadron Air TrainingCorps at this very difficult time.

FlightLieutenant Jon Egging started his journey to what was to become a brilliantflying career at the age of 13 when he joined 2028 (Southam) Squadron AirTraining Corps. Jon recently revisited his former Air Cadet colleagues at 2028Squadron whose thoughts and prayers are with hiswife Emma and his family and friends at this terrible time.
