Reading author Kate Poels has written and published her debut novel 'Isn't Life Strange, The World According to Alice Templeton.' on Amazon's Kindle where it is receiving fantastic reviews from around the globe.
'Isn't Life Strange' revolves around the life of Alice Templeton, a teacher in a special needs school. Her life is a hilarious romp containing many characters whom most of us will recognise and relate to in many ways. Whilst Alice has opinions on everyone she observes whilst carrying out her favourite past time, people watching, she seems to be out of control of her own life. You will be screaming at her as she makes some truly awful decisions, laughing with her as she narrates the twisting journey of her life, and crying as she deals with some harsh blows that are in store for her.
Kate has experience of working as a mainstream class teacher as well as supply teaching in special needs schools. Whilst she hasn't based any of the characters directly on those she taught, her experiences certainly influenced her writing. She last taught in 2009 before she decided to take a career break after the birth of her second daughter. She is now enjoying life as a full time mother and author.
