The Mayor of Wareham had the challenging task of selecting the winners of a Christmas Card design competition run by Sainsbury’s in Wareham. For the past few weeks local schools have been given the opportunity to submit their entries which have been on display at the front of the store. On Wednesday the Mayor of Wareham Mrs Doreen Cleaton visited the store to choose winners from the shortlisted candidates and present them with their prizes of Sainsbury’s goodie bags.

Store Manager Damian Fancy said, “We know that Christmas is a special time for everyone, but particularly for children and thought it would be a fun festive activity to run in the build up to the big day. We were impressed with the quality of the designs that we have received and we hope our customers have enjoyed being able to view them.” The winning entries will continue to be displayed until Christmas in the store along with the other designs.
