Bonfire Cash Bonanza for Charitable Organisations

Nuneaton’s Air Cadets whohelped their local community Firework event go off with a huge bang were amongthe charitable organisations to benefit during Nuneaton Lions Cub presentationevening.

The Nuneaton Lions Club has thanked everyone who helped themwith the 2011 Civic Bonfire by presenting them with a share of the charitable proceedsfrom the event.

The Nuneaton Air Cadets, 30 Signals Regiment, St JohnAmbulance, St Thomas More School,Sea Cadets, Anker Radio and the Carnival Committee all received a share of£3,800 for the help they provided during the Bonfire Night event.

The Lions Cub also presented donations to other charities inthe local area that provide supportive services and help to people within thecommunity.

Flt Lt Paul Hincks of 121 (Nuneaton) Squadron who receivedthe Lions Club donation on behalf of the Nuneaton Air Cadets said, “We arealways delighted to be able to help both the Lions and the Round Table whojointly organise the Civic Bonfire and receiving such a generous donation willenable us to provide much needed equipment for our cadets.”
